The post I’m writing today is to show you a bit of the work I’ve been doing up in East Midlands Airport.
I was commissioned to take some commercial photography of the new machines that a young busyness company Phase 5 Technology had created.
The machines are quite nice for people who don’t like queuing at airports; each individual can manage their own check in and drop in luggage by just touching the screen, however, staff is there to help out attaching stickers and checking the passports.
It’s been a tired job due to the distance and the sort deadline, but the experience it’s been worth it.
The difficulty I found was to hide passenger’s faces and get nice images while I was trying not to be an obstacle.
The personnel were really nice and they cooperate in everything, making the job easier.
I also had to record scenes of how the machines work, with some models and the staff to create an explicative video. I really enjoy this part of the processes, as it was a new experience to me.

El posteo que estoy escribiendo hoy es para mostrar un poquito del trabajo que he estado haciendo en el aeropuerto de East Midlands, en el norte de Londres.
Me encargáron hacer fotografías comerciales de las nuevas máquinas que la joven empresa Phase 5 Technology había creado.
Las máquinas son fácil de usar y muy útiles para la gente que no le gusta hacer cola en los aeropuertos. Cada individuo puede manejar su propio check in y dejar en el equipaje con sólo tocar la pantalla, el personal esta para ayudar a colocar pegatinas y comprobar los pasaportes, haciendo incluso que la espera sea mas corta.
Ha sido un trabajo bastante agotador debido a la distancia y la fecha tope, pero la experiencia que ha valido la pena.
La dificultad que encontré fue tener que evitar las caras reconocibles de los pasajeros y obtener buenas imágenes de sus acciones, mientras trataba de no ser un obstáculo.
El personal fué muy agradable y colaboró en todo, haciendo el trabajo un poco más fácil.
También tuve que grabar escenas de cómo funcionan las máquinas, con algunos modelos y el personal para crear un video explicativo. Esta parte del proceso me gustó mucho, ya que fué una experiencia nueva para mí.
